About Cecil Ingram Properties, LLC
Cecil W. Ingram, III started what was to become Cecil Ingram Properties LLC in 1987 while in the midst of a seven year stint as Executive Assistant to Hall W. Thompson, the President of Thompson Realty Company, Inc. While working for Mr. Thompson, Cecil gradually took over more and more responsibility including directing all development, real estate sales, home owner association management, security, facilities and grounds maintenance, among other areas of responsibility for the Shoal Creek Club development. Shoal Creek is an exclusive, private golf club and gated residential development in Shelby County, AL.
Several years later after some regulatory and compliance work in the healthcare industry, Cecil was asked by the Chairman of the Board of a banking corporation to come work for him to take over a troublesome redevelopment of a historical property. For more than seven years Cecil handled the redevelopment, sales, leasing, and management of a 200,000 square foot, 21 story building that dated back to 1912. Under the jurisdiction of the U S Department of Interior as a building on the National Historic Register, Cecil took over and redirected the construction and operation of the beautiful John A. Hand Building in downtown Birmingham, AL. The building eventually included 24 hour security for a tenant mix that included a retail bank, a bank operations center, residential condominiums, commercial condominiums, guest suites, and a private club. This became the State of Alabama's largest qualifying project for the National Historical Tax Credit program producing a certified U S Federal Tax Credit of roughly $6.3 million dollars.
After accomplishing this goal, Cecil devoted himself to his real estate company full time for the first time in late 2006. While the economic downturn was a detriment to many businesses, Cecil Ingram Properties began developing a small but promising group of clients. With Cecil's varied background, he is able to assist clients in a wide variety of ways. A Licensed Real Estate Broker, Cecil has chosen not to list properties, but rather represent his Clients that are either buyers or sellers. Other areas of expertise include Real Property Asset Inspection and Management, Development and Property Management Services, Troubled Asset Management, Owner Representation, and Ad Valorem Tax Management.
